Antique scallop shell scent bottle on a fine sterling silver chain.
Originally used to hold perfume or smelling salts, either carried or worn. The real scallop shell is mounted with a silver stopper, dauber and chain, typical of Victorian and Edwardian Jewellery.
This rare piece could be used to hold a few drops of your favourite scent.
Some light age related tarnishing to the silver rim, consistent with its age.
